The Seasons Change and So Do I

It is my absolute favorite season right now. Autumn.

As I type, the window near my desk is open about an inch and the leaves outside are red, gold, and green against an overcast sky. The rooftop of our neighbor’s house obscures probably half my view but I don’t mind because this is my favorite weather, season, and time of day. Mid-morning on a rainy autumn day.

Since my late summer blog post, many things have happened and some have not. I’m still working on building my own business, but I’m also learning that success doesn’t always look the way you expect it to. Currently, I’ve joined the board of a local non-profit, I’m working with a colleague on a hyper-local agency project, and I’ve recently accepted a position in management – it seems my professional life is reanimated and better than before.

I’ve been to not one but THREE different apple orchards so far this year and I may still find a few more. I’ve been making jewelry again, and still plan to upload some of these new shiny things to my website in the form of an online store. Why not? I enjoy making things that please my fellow crows and magpies.

In other news, I have already voted for POTUS and I also took my mom and a friend of mine to do their early voting as well. If you know me IRL and you need a ride to vote, don’t hesitate to ask. 😉
